That's cool! The only people that seem to appreciate mine are the hot rod guys and the guy at the local antique shop (which I would never expect since I usually alter them). Barely anyone in my town bikes, and not many people seem to appreciate anything without 4 wheels and an engine around...

Not that...I understand it costs more in a small shop than online. When I was first getting started, I needed my coaster brake serviced and took it in. Paid $20 or whatever the shop rate was. Later when I had more confidence, I opened it up for reference on another one...the bearings had never...

I unfortunately have to deal with Walmart for chains. Otherwise I pretty much Amazon or Craigslist what I can for projects. My LBS has ticked me off too many times. I tried my best to deal with a small, locally owned business, but I can't tolerate getting taken advantage of. I can't wait to move...

I've had the slow down stares from cars. The best was buying the chains..."oh, fixing up a few bikes" Me: "no, just one."...blank stare. lol

That's my favorite one! Or I get, "I used to have one just like that"..."uh, no you didn't." lol

I like to keep it loud and fast, when I'm throwing sparks especially...I had a steady stream of Soilent Green, Pig Destroyer, Cephalic Carnage, and Exodus going during my build.

Wanted to share my belt buckle...it was the inspiration for the name. I tried to find shovels like this to incorporate, but the military shovel was just too cool to pass up!

Thanks! I totally agree with you. I think there were some concerns with it expressed during the build, but I wanted to use it and keep as much of the original bike as possible. It looked best to me in the original position in relation to the bb. I loke that it is SO close to the front...

Thank you! It's probably because I started it July 20th, i asked Rat Rod to move it to the BONINE section after I figured I would finish it in time. It is exactly how I imagined it, no shortcuts, no compromises, just some very late nights after work and things working in my favor for a change.

This is my first build-off, and I want to do it right! I'll throw down this hat that I hand-painted for kicks. But, I don't want to play favorites, and 9th place and 16th place were taken as arbitrary prize places...I'll show my love for #13 and give it to 13th place overall. Good luck everybody!!!
