Here's a pic- it's in perfect shape and has index shifting just covered in bondo dust. They do (did) make a 3 speed thumb friction shifter- cafe cruisers from the 80's and back. I can disconnect with cable attached and send it to you this week- let me know.

I wanted a ride for my work commutes, have a roadie and mtn bike with slicks, but wanted a something with style. Took a cruiser frame, neck and bars from an old Diamond Back BMX, SE seat and 3 spd Nexus. Fun to ride with forward style and taking me back with the BMX riding feel.
