I bought this atlas industrial cruiser 1 year or so ago. When i first bought it I turned it into a strandie with bmx forks, bars etc. it was fun but i got bored with it pretty fast. I’ve used most of the parts for other projects so the frame has been kicking around here for a while.

No I didn’t angle the seat post back. I tried to keep everything clamped in the original geometry except for the tubes I replaced.

The frame looks like someone used a hammer to take it apart and try putting it back together, so cutting it up was an easy decision. I removed the top tube and seat stays and replaced them with dual tubes. I replaced the damaged fork with a sun lite bmx fork. Lots of welding and gusseting left...

I had a little extra time yesterday so i started with a Loco Joe chop to my frame. It’s just tack welded for now until I get my fork figured out and decide between a 24” or 20” front wheel.

My first build off! Going to see what I can do with this atlas industrial frame and a bunch of spare parts. I’m hoping to end up with a nice adult sized muscle bike.

This may not answer your questions but here was what I did.
I bought a two foot long piece of 2024 solid aluminum rod from...
Ive been lurking on here for a while and decided now is a good time to join up. I've been tinkering with bikes for a long time. I grew up riding bmx, that transitioned to mtb in the late 80's, spent some time building lowriders in the 90's, I've built a few fixed gear bikes, built cargo bike...
