    Schwinn fork question

Fastback forks are narrower at the top than reg stingray forks because the Fastbacks used a 1 3/8" tire.

    Frame tubing

I use 16 gauge DOM mild steel tubing from Tractor Supply or Home Depot. Also you can fill it with sand cap off the ends with tape and bend it by hand over a simple form cut out of plywood or even a 55 gallon barrel. You can make nice sweeping curves with out even owning a tubing bender.

    DON JOHLE'S BIKE WORLD

Don Johle's Bike World is a nice bike shop! Their about 10 or 12 miles from us. I like going there because it's a smaller shop with better customer service. I agree with StepChld, Duck Creek Greenbelt is nice, we used to ride it all the time when we lived closer.

Found Schwinn Electric Chopper for sale... didn't buy.

Hey, yoder327 I'll let you know if I decide to sell it. I may have found a controller and throttle on an old scooter a friend is giving me. He said it's 24 volt but the batteries won't hold a charge anymore so they just stopped riding it.

Found Schwinn Electric Chopper for sale... didn't buy.

I know and it may be too costly to pursue. it's a 24 volt dc 250 watt motor. I need to find a model no. EB2420DL/110 controller and a throttle (potentiometer) to go with it. I didn't really buy it for the motor just needed the tire and wheel. If I can find the necessary parts cheap enough I may...

help with installing motor on custom trike in dfw.

I haven't installed a motor on a trike but I have some ideas! I live just east of Dallas. I've been wanting to start on a trike myself. I had a idea for a chopper style trike a couple of years ago. I'm not putting a motor on mine but I've been tossing around some frame ideas. Did you have any...

Found Schwinn Electric Chopper for sale... didn't buy.

Just got this about two weeks ago at a automotive swap meet. Only paid five dollars! Haven't tested the motor yet. I would have paid five just for tire and wheel. Didn't even have to haggle over it. I ask how much he said five dollars, I said sold.

Help with finding a good welder.

Look for a used Hobart Handler 125 or 140 there both 115 VAC and use solid wire or flux core wire. I use a Hobart 180 with solid wire (.030) and C25 shielding gas for welding bicycle frames. The Hobart 180 is a 230 VAC welder and may be more welder than you may need if your just welding .062...

Bent dropout on a CWC frame tips please!

I agree, use a large crescent wrench... Or put it in a bench vice. Clamp on the flat area of the frame ( the area where the tubing was pressed flat by the factory) and gently pull the frame back where it needs to be. Use caution if you put it in a vice the frame will bend easier than you might...
