I wondered about the chain. It was just wrapped around the cogs, as you can see in one of the pictures.

Motobecane FB4 Comp. I have it about 99% assembled. Only part missing is a chain master link, and I don't have one for a 3/32 chain. Front 100mm wheel and 4 in. tire - VERY un-scientific lift test, I bet this is about 1/2 the weight of the Beast/Dolo wheel/tires!

We called the "thorns" goat heads when we were kids. I learned to patch tubes pretty often.

Check with your LBS to see what they would charge to cut and roll them. Take a 26 in spoke with you and no one has to measure anything. I needed one replacement one time and the LBS did it for free. I provided the spokes.

:( Be careful buying Schwinn bikes to flip. I picked up a chinese made 10 speed, not very old at all. To my dismay, the tires were worse than I thought, and I just couldn't re-sell it with the original tires. That's when I found out that it had S5 or S7, (don't remember). Took about a month...

Win 7 gets slow or even hung at times for me. Make sure that you don't have a virus scan scheduled and running or a Windows Update is running.. I usually just do a complete shutdown and power off. Reboot fresh and see if that makes any difference.
