Do you have a line on that rod setup in the Windy City?

Yeah. I just figured that out. I thought at first that bracket was for a light. Those horn replacements are way more expensive then I had expected. Or maybe they are just some of those crazy eBay people who are out there jacking up prices cuz they can. If all goes well I will ride it down to my...

All it's missing is the light and the tank mechanism. I think I'm going to break it down, clean it up, pack new bearings and tubes into it and keep it. Hopefully I can find a light and horn for it down the way.

    New schwinn

Yeah I checked it out when I got home "born in" 1958. The thing is in great shape. Even the pedals are correct.

So a friend of ours asked if I could rebuild a cruiser for her by next month so she could participate in a local bike ride. Her current one is uncomfortable and it was time for a change. She wants something more upright and comfortable. No problem as woman's bikes are much easier to come by. Off...

    Picked up a nishiki

Thanks for the info. It looks basically untouched. I didn't understand misaligned legs on the correct side of the tube or the zero clearance comments tho.

    Picked up a nishiki

My concern was if anyone had experience w/ these springers. Can they be trusted? I don't want it to be cruising down a hill an crack my melon

    Picked up a nishiki

No I don't think it was ever ridden. The knobbies were still on the tires.

    Picked up a nishiki

I think I got an ok deal on it I basically grabbed it for the wheels/tires and the springer. I guess my question is I had never hear of the brand probably because I don't go bike shopping in the likes of box stores for bikes. The fork and stem feel solid does anyone have experience w/ these things?

    My 1st rat

Here is an old coast to coast that I picked up for the bars and saddle. After I got it broke down the all chrome came back to life and the frame was solid so I just rebuilt it.

    My 1st rat

I've got some black and brushed chrome wheels that are going to get blue bricks on them that I was planning for a pre war Hiawatha that I am in the process of stripping down. The pedal is rusted on. I'm going to try heating it w/ a torch when I get a chance. That black thing is one of those...

The original paint is what sold me on the frame in the 1st place.

The rims. Crankset and handlebar stem were on it when I got it. The rest has been cannibalized off of other CL bikes.
