I'v got to get this one out on a few rides this season,she's a pretty decent comfy cruiser.The sheet metal on these bikes are unfortunately pot metal and are crap.They break,bend and warp just looking at them.Mine has all original parts from different bikes and to get them all to fit properly...

Lets not forget I get a lot of help from the Bendix two speed kickback underdrive hub.This lets you take off easy and the when you lightly backpedal it will shift into high gear.Since this was a longer trip I don't try to kill myself going to fast but the bike with gear combo will average...

Looks to be 1/8" which is just slightly less than the original dropouts but I made these plates beefy for just that reason.A buddy of mine who'es a truck mechanic brought me over a bunch of pieces to choose from,this was the best option as the rest of pieces were way to thick.

they are just cap plugs and are available from Raleigh Ron's store on ebay,I think they run about $30+ but I'm sure you can find a much more cost effective alternative.Would like to see you in the "build" thread soon,look for my Evans"Dragon" Sonic Scout build for s n g's:D!

Joe,heres a few pics of my Huffy Rail.Wow!the frames do look similar.I couldn't find any numbers on the crank hanger on mine,of course when I got it it was already painted in the green and the guy could have filled them in.I like the rear dropouts on it,I wonder what yours is?

Making a little headway as time permits.Found a good way to attach the Hurst shifter to the Sturmey and fabricating some frame droupouts to pull that big 3.00" tire back
