So took a half day off work and made some progress

Nothing like a little back tracking. Had to drop the bb down for 2 reasons. 1, chain clearance 2, felt like I was going to knee myself in the chin

I did a bunch of looking around before starting and couldn't find the "one" I liked, so I went with my own design. On paper and in my head the thought was to make the leaf look like a bobbed fender with curved fender braces. I'm hoping that once the seat is mounted where I want it, everything...

Sitting here looking at the bike, think something looks goofy.... Ah ha, the handle bars were upside down! Much better.

Getting so close. Chain tensioner and seat post are all that's left for welding. I do feel short on time as well!

Been making a bunch of progress. Got most all of it welded. Have to trim the seat stays to length, add the bb and the seat.

There is multiple leaves for the spring. I am just using the bottom one for mocking it. They came off a snowmobile front ski. I have both ski's and haven't used the second one yet so if I need I can add a leaf or two
