Thought you guys might like to see progress pictures of my little sporty project. She was a bone stock 1999 XL1200 I bought as a wreck.... I think she is coming along nicely. The headlight was a random find, The oil bag is made from the cylinder liner of a Stratton Aero helicopter motor...

Well the red hot Tabasco Lugi kind of sputtered out. My plans where to build a aluminum tank, "Moon" disks for the wheels and maybe even an aluminum bodied sidecar... But It just wasnt in the cards this year, not enough time to do much of anything... So the Lugi is not really "done" but...

Ok.... So I figure its down to the wire... Time to reveal the trophy. Hope you guys all like it. Now remember... Who ever takes this bad boy home has to out do me for RRBO5!

Just a reminder... this is going to be a fun show... Im taking 30 bikes to sell and have hundreds and hundreds of parts... As well as half a dozen motorcycles... Going to be fun. Hope to see some fellow rat rod bikers standing strong!

Ya know that just goes to show you that some people are willing to fork over huge money for stuff you wouldnt.... I mean the guy must be loaded that he can drop close to four grand on a couple of OCC choppers with china motors right? Dont be a hater!

Man its a sad thing.... But the way its lookin the Lugi is not gonna make it to the judging... Ive been workin 100+ hour weeks and it looks like its going to continue till well into August. I really needed this work, with any luck by the end of summer I'll be out of the huge freakin hole...

It was built by Worksman and a version is still sold by them today. The newer ones are very similure but dont have that cool brake or the crusty rat thing going Here is mine

Ok I was going to keep this under wraps but they turned out so cool I just had to share. I just got the trophy center peice from the waterjet guy. I think it is freakin killer. Its brass and I'll overlay it on some stainless with a forged steel frame..... At this point I dont know how...
