Do the wheels need to be rebuilt or can I just use any old rear hub?

Band brakes? Can I use a rear freewheel in front and screw on a band brake?

I’m gonna have to swap out that fork if I want any kind of front brake up in there. Every change I make will be reversible.

I don’t know much about old amf’s besides the fact I had a crappy amf 10 speed when I was a kid. not sure of any details. One interesting thing that the logo is upside down. Was quality control bad even then?

The seat is actually from a schwinn hurricane. It's longer than most bread loaf seats from that era

I use krylon fusion on all my rattle can jobs but I'm no expert. It will scratch but I'm ok with it. Definitely not foe show bikes

I've got my motor bike almost the way I like it, however the fork looks wrong. What do you think will look best? Springer? Truss rods? Triple tree? Mtb suspension fork? I dunno. I know it needs something. Something looks off. Maybe it's the handle bars. I dunno. Any advice would be helpful Thanks
