Yes. I painted it. I believe the bike was made in Tiwan by what would become Giant. Excellent steel bike. May not last as long as my old 76 conti but sure is lighter

Well crud, I looks like a chineese 2 stroke may not fit in the frame. I have other options, but they are much more 'spensive and not as elegant...but the trade off is that it won't fall apart and kill you while you are going 25mph. But what's the fun in that?

it looks like it is an amflite cobra from amf. I'm stripping the blue paint off and while taking the fork off I saw it was gold underneath. So I guess it looked like this at one time This example is from the 60s

Thanks! I don't own it yet. I'm looking at it (among other bikes) Monday morning. Now that I know it's an amf avenger I think it might be a 24". I guess I'll find out monday

Is it a murray? If I get it I plan on putting a 2 stroke kit on it. It kind of looks like a space liner but I'm not sure. Is it a 26? That's a long seat tube if it is thanks

would I have to change the chain ring? I can always find one from a varsity and only use the inner ring. Will the ring I currently use (I run a nexus 3 at the moment) work with a 5 speed freewheel? I don't think it will but a lot of Schwinns had the option of a single speed, 3 speed or a 5 speed...

I wish they never named these "girls" frames. The step through frame makes a lot of sense. Maybe they aren't as strong as "boys" frames but these bikes certainly look sharp. Plus they are a little more friendly on the family jewels

I noticed another thing today. The drive wheel isn't centered on the tire. Tried fiddling with the brackets that hold the bike on but no luck. Then it hit me. The speedo is putting the wheel slightly to the right. The speedo looks cool but it's hardly accurate and it won't break my heart if I...
