Here is another bike I am building. It is a murray monterrey I stole from my wife and flipped the bottom bar to the top and made other modifications ,the flip gave it some rake without lowering the front too much but stretched it out some. The middle bar is a handlebar from a donor mtb.

Thanks dudes, I built a tool out of a piece of water pipe and got it off. I did the chicken dance in the lab afterwards

I have used conduit before, as far as cleaning off the galvinized coating soak it in muratic acid (usually found at pool supply houses) this will remove the coating and allow it to be weldable without the toxic fumes.
