I used these braces with Summit balloon tire fenders (26") and 26" balloon tire wheels and I had to cut off at least an inch to get the fenders anywhere close to the tire, and even then I've got a lot of room to spare. These are looooooooong fender stays.

I'd like to know more about this as well; just got a Bendix 3 speed stick shifter for the same purpose. And I feel like an idiot for this, but it isn't obvious to me how to attach the cable either.

I *REALLY* wish there was some way to buy those hubs seperately. I've wanted a kickback hub for a minute now, and combine that with my love of my KT's single speed hubs, and you've got a hub I really want.

Quick question - were Falcon hubs made by the same guys making KT/Hi-Stop hubs? Or is it just an eerie resemblence? I've never had a Falcon hub, but I have a few odd parts from one thanks to a RRB member, and they sure look interchangable.

I'm sure you've already looked into this, but is are your cones adjusted properly? If the hub doesn't spin freely, an easier gear ratio just means you'll be going as slowly as before, only with a little less effort. I've heard of some hubs having a "breaking in" period, but I haven't observed...
