I'm a big guy, I only buy 26" bikes, maybe a 24" muscle bike now and then. But I don't buy any Huffman built bike after the late 60s. They started undercutting their dealers even then poor quality trim, chrome, welds, and inferior cranks. Schwinn and Huffman were, at one time, the American...

Schwinn was the Dodge Aspen or AMC Pacer. Face it, the big three bike companies all weighed a ton in the 80s and had become a laughing stock; a shell of their former selves. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I'll be excited to see this build, and get that Huffy rack that is currently on the bike

    1969 Huffy Rail duel stick

The only vintage bike I saw fit to take home from an auto junkyard was a 1973 Huffy Escape 3 speed women's bike that I parted out. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

What to do with an old family bike?

The 1958 Chevrolet Impala is one of my dream cars, has been since I was about 11 years old. It's a shame that particular model never got any love until about 6-8 years ago. Prior to that, you MIGHT see one as a Lowrider. Maybe. Victor's pedal car designs are very reminiscent of the 1957-59...

What to do with an old family bike?

No, no. I meant that the look of the bike has to be as classic and stylish as those cars. The "finned" look of the rack, chrome tank dash and switches, dual headlights, and chrome somewhat reflect that already. I like the TRM idea. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

What to do with an old family bike?

1966 (?) Sears Spaceliner base model. It's been in my family since the 1980's, maybe longer. I'm not going to do a full correct restoration, so any ideas? I want a classic look, something reminiscent of a '57 Chevy or '58 Plymouth. I'm open to suggestions. I also have the missing tank parts...

To CRASH...you sir have been a BIG help and very informative! Thank you EVERYONE! The deraileur I have in the shed is a very nice Shimano RD-Z501 from an old 10-speed. Will that work? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

WTF am I doing wrong? HELP ME TUNE THIS STUPID MUSCLE BIKE

I've had a chance to cool off for awhile. My anger was because I got this in August 2014. I got around to fixing it up around Feb 2015. I had difficulty with it when I got it done later that year. I had to track down a replacement brass fitting for that deraileur because the old one was broken...
