The shifter itself is an NOS Bendix 3 speed stick, also known as the "Archie" shifter because Archie is on the packaging. I used the cable and housing I already had. It took a lot of trial and error, but it's easy once you figure it out. I put one on a friend's Ghostrider in less than an hour...
You mean like this?

The Bendix works great with the Nexus, after you get it properly adjusted....you can look through my photosteam for more details and updated pics. I've since put one of these on a buddy's Ghostrider and he loves it as well. You won't regret it!
Likin' it....I'm considering pulling the trigger on an old Murray frame myself, this one would be going over to the darkside for a motor. Of course I want an old Schwinn, but for the money, I'm thinking Murray.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the seat....I'm really into kitschy Mexican culture, Guadelupes and whatnot (much to my Mexican wife's disdain, lol). I'm thinking those brakes are only for the Euro market, but we shall see....
I was really disappointed in the discontinuation of the tank bikes last year....I had wanted a Flying Sue for a while! However, the Zarape has me totally over it. This WILL be my next bike!
I'm not t big fan of the Punk, but I wouldn't turn one down for $129!
However, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Flying Sue....breaks my heart that I didn't get one before they discontinued them....is that a siren I se on yours? More pics please....
I had apes on mine, and it seemed that all my riding friends had the EXACT same bars, so I wanted something different....that's why I went with the TT bars.

Ditto. The only difference is the handlebars....and if I had a Ghostrider, I already have Electra apehangers to put on it
BTW, Nice avatar, Croozer!
As promised, here's my Boney Finger with the new 26" up front....going for that Jager Straight 8 look:
