Well baby steps... Scored some time on my dad's buffing wheel, a seatpost that fits (turns out it's 1") and swapped the axles in the hubs. Diggin' the burgundy grips but the pedals I want are discontinued so sort of stuck there :(

Evel Knievel 1970's MX Tribute Bike Finished

Day-um Gig, that turned out killer. I may have to copy your idea... my first bike was a Thunder Star but no way I'm fitting on a 20" even if I could find one.

Meh. Work has been scant this month between my and my boss's vacations but I did at least get a little info on the fork. Seems it was made by Wuler, who has been a manufacturer of forks (and seemingly only forks) since the early 80's and by the 90's appears to have supplied a lot of the bigger...

Damn, that's a find... won't see that happening twice!

I'll set them aside for ya... we'll cross paths sooner or later. I have no use for them. I put one on the downtube just because, but the wrap was crazy.

Here ya go...they're monsters meant more for their carbon bikes I think. Might make a good window sticker for your truck lol. The chrome (photoetched) headbadges are cool, but I elected not to fill the rivet holes on the head tube and the grey plastic covers those holes whereas the chrome ones...

Well, the Jamis stickers came to and they're way to big, but for $10 they sent me 3 headbadges and two big sheets of stickers so I'll score that as a win.

Shoot, I knew there was something I was forgetting when I was down there. I think I'm going to do one of my DX frames in this color so I'll get it on the next trip for ya. I finally got around to finishing the decal template, and true to my Ford-guy genes, I based it on the Boss 429 fender...

Shawn at Quality PC in Chula Vista. And of course it turns out the post is 1" so the one I bought won't fit. Ah well, knew I'd buy something I would end up not using.

Well, the cranks are going to be Redline double pinch to match the stem and clamp, and since they are cromo, it's powder or chrome. Profile chainring and polished BB. Still undecided on the pedals, but likely some sort of beartrap since they're big and round. And the post is a 26.2 so options...

Back from powder today. I know everybody says 'pics don't do it justice' but dayum, this is a pretty color. I will absolutely be using this as a go-to color in the future. Base coat/clear coat powder- who knew? MILES deep! A dark merlot in the shade or off angle, a deep raspberry straight on in...

My polisher recommend Premier in El Cajon, but they only do clear. Haven't looked around for colors.

Schwinn tank bike out of spare parts.

Personally I prefer the feather, but I don't like the way it looks with my smaller 46t chianring... I think the lines beg for the larger ring. I suspect the Phantom style would better hide with the big gap at the front.

Might do just a single wheelie bar with a caster wheel (maybe a couple springs to keep the wheel mostly straight) that way when you need to turn that beast you could just lean back onto the caster and whip that nose around. Also (and you're way beyond my abilities already so take this with a...

Formerly blue. They were very unevenly faded so I stripped them. Weinman 525's though- kinda cool.
