    Balloon tire fixie upgrade

Well the short answer is "yes!" The long answer is don't use a frame that you're worried about destroying! A good ol heavy tube Schwinn will flex like mad, a lesser made frame may bend/buckle.

    Yard mustang

Haha, mine was 1990 GT that had nothing stock anymore! Twisted wedge headed 347ci HOA hated beast! Traded it for a pile of cash and Denali which has recieved a vortec headed 383. Chevies are cheaper to build.... I think next I'm going to have a VW in yard....she wants another GTI or Wolfy...

    Any other quality bicycle motors?

Here's my china girl, a first run gt5. Been a solid performer, ran thru 2-3 carbs, 4 cdi's and 3 magnetos. Many many miles.... Most times I get motorized bikes to "fix or repair" the biggest offenders are installation failure.... Motor not securely mounted and rear sprocket woes are the most...

    Craigslist nightmares and dreams...

I appreciate the "bork" (backwards+fork) look and it really speeds steering up!

    Cleaning and polishing frames

Both! Oven cleaner is really strong, hard to control how much it strips! Usually anodized parts fade unevenly or just turn a lighter shade, the raw rim sides just pit... Paint can be removed with elbow grease, anodized is that color! Deal with it, color.

Vintage Adult 20" DeSoto Trike Lowrider

it's already pretty low. The only thing I think I would do is put a banana seat on it and 26-inch Forks, sweet set of flame tires.

    Cleaning and polishing frames

I seen too much nice aluminum stuff destroyed with oven cleaner. I don't. Scrape carefully, sand....

    Any other quality bicycle motors?

I've seen them done it looks like a pain in the rear to mount the motor.

    Needed: Speedway/Track style handlebars.

Check out Soma fabrications, they are pricey but extremely well made.

Caliper Brake Mounting (there's a lesson here)

Cam and U brakes could crush rims, bend seat stays and be hell to set up! The brake handles were higher ratio also....(big hint right there for motorized bike disc brake guys!)

Caliper Brake Mounting (there's a lesson here)

It will be fine mounted there! I prefer the flip mounting as it is less visable.

    My old Manco Earth cruiser.

From the little I have found, Manco minibikes built cruisers around 1974-76. I horse traded into the frame and all I started with. This is a first year gen 5 china girl, no idea why it still runs, lots of miles...

Crank set w/ motor to crank to rear sprocket free wheel on the crank

It's called a "jack shaft," and most motorized bike engine stores carry theirs. BBR has one that is acceptable... Search, "motorized bike jack shaft kit."
