    Cut and Thread spokes?

Cool man, I like your attitude. On my end, I guess I have gotten used to the know it all attitudes over at The CABE. I had to have a moderator put one of them on mutual ignore for the overly rude attitude he showed every time I posted something and was not in 100% agreement with him. Here...

    Cut and Thread spokes?

No need to be offended man. Yes there are different gauge standards, but in the USA one rarely sees Imperial or Birmingham gauge. If it is a concern, ask the seller what wire gauge standard the spokes are made by. Nobody here has that answer for every spoke manufacturer. This chart was posted as...

    Cut and Thread spokes?

Gauge is a dimensional measurement, so it would not be an 11 gauge spoke if it was a different diameter. The thread rolling process should keep the threads the same, although I am not sure if there are different spoke nipple threads to compensate. I have a chart that converts spoke and wire...

    Cut and Thread spokes?

Porkchopzz oneBay has great deals on Stainless spokes and nipples. I am getting 75 194mm spokes for about $30 shipped and 100 Stainless nipples at about $17 shipped and they are Taiwan, not China made which helps the quality. He has other lengths as well.

Maybe the strangest bike in history?

Looks like a Tiki Bar on wheels man.

Maybe the strangest bike in history?

True, this could be only the tip of the iceberg.

Maybe the strangest bike in history?

This abortion would be pretty much useless without a conference table for everyones tablets and coffee, a power supply and a dependable internet connection. But what do I know? I know $20k is anout $19,980 more than it will bring for scrap. I do wonder though, what it would look like being...

Maybe the strangest bike in history?

Even though by definition a bike/bicycle is a two wheeled machine. Only a group of medical professionals could twist that abortion into a bike. Twenty nine people working their asssess off to peddle one guy where he wants to go. And he is using a communication device while operating a livery...

Hawg Wylde, my 1962 Schwinn Typhoon 20" Pig Bike Build Off #17 Class 1 Entry.

Thanks for the compliment man! It makes me want to do even better on the job next time. It did look pretty good all in all but I got scratches in places that wouldve stood out. It also weakens the integrity of the fresh paint by allowing the possibility of contaminants in the primer. I hate...

Hawg Wylde, my 1962 Schwinn Typhoon 20" Pig Bike Build Off #17 Class 1 Entry.

This is a little bit of a setback. I got a couple scratches on the frame before I could get the clear coat on it. I had to wait until it sat for 7 days to cure. It only made it 5 days. Since it is a Candy color the paint will be hard to match right touching it up, so I am going to blast it...

Hawg Wylde, my 1962 Schwinn Typhoon 20" Pig Bike Build Off #17 Class 1 Entry.

I am in Central Illinois. I lived on a small farm as a little rat but moved to the city at 13. I live about 1 mile from that farm now, but in a mobile home park in the country. I am allergic to most of Illinois so 3 seasons here are an adventure, but nowhere near as bad as it was when I was...

Hawg Wylde, my 1962 Schwinn Typhoon 20" Pig Bike Build Off #17 Class 1 Entry.

Yesterday and today I started and finished sandblasting my frame. It should've taken about half an hour but my monster compressor is in storage. I was using my DeWalt 20 gallon upright with no extra tank capacity. Since I forgot to take photos you will have to trust me on this one. I put on 2...

My preliminary headbadge design. Intended to be a brass etched badge look. Although it may not be a true etching, it will be on a piece of sheet brass.

    Pedal Carriage

Anybody but me notice those weenies at the CPSC have been working behind the scenes to make us all ride girls' bikes? Oh sure, they call them step thru or mixte bikes. But to me thats like a Man Bag. You can call it whatever you like but a purse by any other name is still a purse. Same goes for...

They may be, if they ride it over to the reception as well. But then the Consumer Products Safety Commission noodles would insist on handrails!

Looking back, and seeing ahead I may have gone with a Chrome Monark Springer instead of the Schwinn Phantom 1995 reproduction I bought. I guess Only Time Will Tell if this part changes. I could always use that fork on another frame. I am definitely using a pair of 6" tall Hurst Shifters. That...
