Amazing what can be done with a Cranbrook. Makes me think I should do something with the Cranbrook frame I robbed all the parts off of.

If you have doubts about the bike, don't buy it. Other cruisers will come along and you can probably find a better platform to work with. That's my two cents, for what it is worth.

Inspirational! I am building a monterey. Same purple color with some grey. Miami Vice style so I guess it was an 80s model. Sanded to bare metal and picked up a $20 cranbrook for fenders and stem. Going to try a three speed hub. Something between a rat rod and a custom. Planning a copper green...

I just bought a "schwinn" cruiser off cl. Oddly the schwinn had "huffy cranbrook written all over it and had a huffy seat. Not that it mattered I bought it for the fenders and paid next to nothing.

Will that bike be available in the upcoming Acme catalog? I've been looking for something to help me catch a pesky roadrunner...

I consider it one of my greatest achievements that my son not only likes my bike but now considers me a "real mechanic" because he watched me work on it.

You aren't the only one envious of the prices. Hard to find anything in my neck of the woods for less than 100 bucks although I did get a nice murray Monterrey for 50 last week. And my wife approved of the purchase even tho I had no good reason to buy a bike!
