    Anybody else have a motorcycle?

Outstanding 'Guzzi cafe racer. No decription, but presumably 850 LeMans 1. ? Love me a 'Guzzi. Spent 4 years building my Aero Cycle Car kit (Morgan 3-wheeler tribute) using a donor 1000cc motor, rear wheel and bevel drive from a mint '89 'Guzzi LeMans 5. Sold it in 2015. I so miss that V motor's...

    Anybody else have a motorcycle?

Good buy! SNAP! My Jap import 2003 Solo AC17 is amongst a handful here in the UK. Doesn't look much like how I bought it now though. Fitted meatier tyres, bobbed fenders, cafe bars/risers, converted to hand-shifter, new 'grille' head/tail/indicator lamps, aftermarket exhaust, side-mount license...

No. 3 build ready to kick off...

OK, what the hell have pet identity tags got to do with bikes? Nothing... but everything can be repurposed, right? Ordered these brass and aluminium plaques online on Sunday evening from a local engraving company here in the North East UK, and received them Tuesday. First class service, first...

Boardtracker / Antique motorcycle style bicycle build

Yeah, a rack on a board tracker doesn't seem right, but I agree, it makes much more sense when it comes to practicality. Did the same thing on my Gnome/Rhone motorized build. And I needed to solve the same problem you're dealing with when it came to securely fastening the front of the rack to...

No. 3 build ready to kick off...

Quickest ever LED vintage lamp conversion. Didn't even have to alter the vintage nickeled Powell & Hanmer lamp itself in any way whatsoever. Conveniently, the USB rechargeable LED light's plastic body was a snug interference-fit into this particular lamp's reflector ring after sawing/filing off...

Begun silver soldering the reinforcing gussets to the frame. Didn't really want to have an unsightly weld bead attaching these parts - so opted for silver solder instead. Plan is to go with a clear lacquered bare metal frame (but I'm keeping my options open, so that may yet change...) with a...

Debut eBike build underway - 'BLUE BAMBOO' stretch cruiser

    I didn't. It's plain old usb rechargeable.

Working on the shifter linkage which will transfer the 125cc motor's left side foot shift to a right side hand shift. The bearings & collars on the main shaft will fit through a pair of waterjet-cut plates that double-up as the rear motor mounts. These plates will also hang beneath the motor's...

Boardtracker / Antique motorcycle style bicycle build

Forks coming together nicely. Those waterjet-cut parts of mine are for my ongoing latest build. Build thread is featured in the Gas Powered Bikes section of this forum. Thread titled:... No. 3 build ready to kick off...

Boardtracker / Antique motorcycle style bicycle build

Snap! My latest build's waterjet-cut parts recently came minus the hole for the ignition barrel which was present on the cad drawing. S - - t happens.... Cutters re-did the part for me. PS: RAL 'Curry' (kinda baby poop-ish, looks much better than it sounds) is a cool vintage colour. I'm...

Kingfish254's Finds - Over Ten Years of Kingfish Scores!!

Just wow! You are definitely some kind of cool stuff magnet. As a Brit, I've never even seen a lot of the vintage stuff that gravitates towards your stash. But I'm glad that thanks to this forum, I get to be educated.

Waterjet-cut mild steel frame gussets finally showed up. A quick dry-fit shows these fit the frame perfectly as expected. After I've silver soldered these in place, I'll give the frame a clean-up before clear lacqeuring the bare metal frame.

Debut eBike build underway - 'BLUE BAMBOO' stretch cruiser

Thanks. Just scroll back through the thread and you'll see how the faux springer look was created. Forks are really just the rigid originals with some added 'tweaks'. They do attract plenty comment when parked up.

    lets see those homemade tanks

Frame is designed to accept pedals, but they'll be redundant on this build on account of my choice of motor. So yeah - more vintage inspired lightweight cycle-derived motorcycle than bicycle. Might be worth me exploring the pedal start option....

    lets see those homemade tanks

Thanks. Opted for a virtually new, (800kms) eBay sourced 125cc engine from a Skyteam Ace. I went with new Honda CG125 18" drum braked wheels. Ongoing build thread in the Gas Powered Bikes section. Thread entitled: 'No. 3 build ready to kick off...'

Home-made alu-min-i-um (say it right, :wink1:) tank for my latest boardtracker build.

Sketched a few paint schemes for the tank and settled for this green and bare alloy scheme. Same green I used to paint the motor's side covers.

Going for the full speedo, lights arrangement means it's pretty difficult to conceal a wiring loom. Having decided to power this build with a very low mileage Skyteam Ace 125 motor, and wanting to keep everything 'plug-n-play' friendly as possible, I purchased a spare Ace wiring loom, key...

    Monark Rocket

Love it! Seen those cylinder heads for sale online but never seen one fitted onto a build.
