I think the fork will work alright but it might be a good idea for me to wire the top of the spring to the rod just in case there is a problem like one horsepower said. Soon as I can ride it I will find out.

Got my springer fork made, it will need cleaning up like everything else. I widened the slot in the forks to mount the springer rod and used some springs I got at a swap meet last year, it moves when I push on the fork so it looks like it will work when there is weight on the bike.

Got a solo seat for the bike, I will have to come up with some bracing for it.

Thanks everyone, I have a solo seat on it`s way, then I can see how a tank will fit. I had to redo the back of the bike for the wide fenders I want to put on it. I also want to add a springer fork addition to my triple tree forks.

Thank you one horsepower, I did some more work on the bike, changed the tubes in back of the seat, added some braces and shortened the back of the bike by 3 inches. My welds look awful but it is solid now, I got a small tank for the top tube which will get covered with a fiberglass tank cover I...

Thank all of you, I want to make some glass fenders, that might make it look shorter, more of a motorcycle look.

I got the headtube cut down and the fork fitting good, cut a tube out of another bike for the top tube, the tank will cover it anyay. I`m thinking of maybe using the yellow tubes I have fron another bike on the back of this one, I don`t know. My chain wouldn`t line up with the sprocket on the...

These forks do look good, I have been out cutting as much as I can off of the headtube to make them fit, I have yet to try and see if it will be enough. There is just enough room under the fork for the fender I want to make and use, thank you.

Thank you Glenn and Oddjob, those wheels and tires are 26x4, I got the wheels and fork from closeout bicycles on ebay, I also got the tire from a private seller on ebay and painted on the whitewalls, I hope they last a while, tom.

Did a little more to the bike today, made the back end longer, I may want to shorten it , I think the fenders I want to make would still work. I put on my fat tires and now see I will have to shorten the head tube in order to get the fork to fit. I sort of like the girls bike tubes so I will...

build off 14 first try, calling it warbonnett

Hi, I thought I`d try the build off since I`ve always liked seeing what others have done. I am starting with an old girls bike but plan to cut the top tube out and add a straight one in it`s place. I also want to lengthen and widen the the rear for a bigger tire and wheel, I am going to use fat...
