$10 from a local farm equipment scrap yard. By the colour, I think it is from a ‘50’s-60’s era Massey Ferguson. The red is too orange-y for it to be International Harvester. (The farm boy in me is coming out, lol) Now to figure out how to convert it to LED... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most of the major fabrication done so now on to the “rat-ification”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a couple of days vacation so it’s time to get things going. Rear fender is fitted, working on the front now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did get the grips on it pretty quickly and without much trouble, so “progress”, lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spent all afternoon and into the evening banging, trimming and forming sheet metal. The rear fender/front fender combo is mounted and finally not rubbing or clanging around on anything. The fender combo covers about 270 degrees of the wheel. They are joined together at the original fender...

The spokes are twisted and wheels trued up so I slapped on the pedals and a chain and took it for a short spin. One of the pedal spindles is bent so it pedals a little wonky and the coaster brake isn’t connected yet but other than that, it rolls pretty smooth. Doesn’t stop well yet...

Laced up the front wheel and just thought it looked too run of the mill, so I jazzed it up a little (thanks to YouTube) [emoji41] Now I have to do the same to the rear and true them up, but that’s tomorrow’s project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Morning progress: Rear wheel all cleaned up and re-laced, good as new. [emoji851] Now, on to the front wheel this afternoon.

Gonna try to leave some rust but I have to get rid of the nasty thick silver paint job.

Disassembled front hub. Time for a re-grease. The rear rim will require a little more work to clean up.

[emoji848] Me too @OddJob. Chain is in the cleaner drink now so it can go on early next week. Have a Multiple Sclerosis 2 Day Charity ride this weekend so I’m resting up for that. It’s a “carbon fiber rocket” weekend for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

To quench the urge to ride it, I thought it was time to tear down and re-lace the wheels. They need minimal clean up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popped my old Brooks saddle on to see how it would look. Resisting the urge to slap on a chain and pedals and take it for a spin around the block. [emoji605][emoji605] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With a little help from my “fire hammer” (aka fire duct tape, fire wrench, fire saw, cigar lighter, etc...) the big Thickslick fits like a charm [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trying to fit the big Thickslick on the front. Going to have use the @GuitarCarl technique to get it to fit. *fingers crossed* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I also need to make some sort of a layback seatpost to move the seat further back. After cruising around yesterday afternoon on my most recent pick (1951 Columbia Newsboy Special), I’ve realized I’m not a fan of “pedalling my feet behind my arse”... It’s the road rider in me, I’m quite sure...
