    My frirst balloon bike

Is the post solid or tubular? If it's solid you could slot the top, and use a long screwdriver to twist. Or make some flats the size of a long wrench that's handy. If the clamp has deformed the tube, you can gently pry the clamp apart with a big flathead. If you value the paint, or the clamp...

    Beer fixie... on the cheap!

If you ever have a chance to try non-imported Fransikaner, I recomend jumping at the opertunity. It's a bit like drinking a loaf of bread. Cool idea, and glad to see you've got a decent beer palate as well.

What would be the best bike to copy this one with?

First thought was a Eglin twin bar. Second thought was expensive. Third was a 50's Clevland Welding (or simillar) straight bar with the middle bar cut out.

    Got something to say ....

Being a young whipper-snapper myself, thanks. If it weren't for the stoodgy old farts to give me chance, I would have picked up botanical basket weaving. At least my faucets wouldn't be covered in grease.

I'm selling a new line of cruisers

For cheap new bikes, they look decent. You've managed to pick out models that don't have repeat parts, which is a good thing. I hate walking into a shop and seeing a row of bikes with the same frame, tires, chainguard, and seat but with different colors and price tags.

How to take these crank arms off?

I remember writing a somewhat comedic post about how awsome cottered cranks are to remove. Rather than search for it, or re-write it, I'll reference you to the ever more helpful website of the late Sheldon Brown. http://sheldonbrown.com/cotters.html After pulling more of these than I care to...
