Yes it is. The urals are very fun sidecars to drive. Sidecaring takes time to get use to. not a vehicle you just get on a ride. And the Urals are old school in technology--like owning a 50s motorcycle. The Ural web site list all their Dealers go you an check one out.
Good idea, the bottom of the trunk area has a place to bolt in a floor , and using one of those soft sided coolers would work I think. I do have to access the back disk brakes through this opening also, so some planning along your idea is in order for sure.
Regular trunk. Was going to do a larger opening but making the lid stay curved the same way as the body was just too much for me.I did get a nice 10x20 inch opening.

Got to get my head back in the game--3 weeks to finish. Final order of parts for brakes has shipped. So today I picked up some of the small but time consuming jobs that has to be done. Cut the hole for the trunk , added head lights , and added some tabs to the windshield...
Steve, next time you run into your friend Don Johle, could you maybe find out the Oct date of his show? Last year it was after the Harvest Classic motorcycle show(HC this year isOct18/19th)It was a good show and I'd like to attend again if possible.
Did the jack shaft come in?
Kinda late in the game but your frame would be cool with a center run primary chain/ and sprocket splitting between bottom brackets

It is. It's a bit slow--but than again so am I. And I do have it in the lowest gears I have, the rear has a 6 speed block to give me some range of gears but I used a mountain bike triple gear ring on the jack shaft which I can change by hand(didn't want to try and install another derailler). So...
