Re: The Horny Horner - 5/21 - a little color Oh, ummm, just a little censorship:) I've got a couple little things that I'm working on and I don't want to give any teaser shots yet...

Re: The Horny Horner - 5/21 - a little color Put a little color on it late yesterday. Got it reassembled and now the crankset is hanging with some new paint as well. The quality of all my pictures is lacking, I know. I keep forgetting to steal my girlfriend's digital camera...there's only so...

Re: The Horny Horner - 5/20 - paint prep Although the frame has plenty of clearance for the 2.5" tires, there was a problem with the right seat stay. It's kind of hard to tell in this picture, but the tire rubbed on the right seat stay and the left chain stay. And the wheel is not bent...so...

Re: The Horny Horner I started to assemble the second pedal and realized I might like it better with less spikes. I can't decide. Opinions? and with the soon-to-be-installed old BMX cranks

Re: The Horny Horner I was going to wait until tomorrow to put these pedals up, but I just couldn't wait any longer. File this under the "I'm sorry, did I stab you with my pedals?" section. Started with some basic BMX pedals that have been sittin' unused for the last few years Removed the...

Re: The Horny Horner Thanks for the encouragement, Quiksilver! Yes, the bars can hit my knees, but they're really not bad, it just takes a slight adjustment to stay clear.

lol yes I'll see about putting up larger pictures...I'm not even sure if my friends want their faces posted on the internet in the first place :o went to the weekly car show today at our local burger joint. Nice turnout, and this pic only caught a fraction of the cars today. Mostly perfect...

Re: The Horny Horner Thanks Deorman. I did have to trim the bolt down a couple of times to make sure I had the exact correct length, 'cuz once welded I think it will be pretty near impossible to thread the bolt back into the 'nub' if I had to unscrew it all the way.

Re: The Horny Horner With the bolt snugged up slightly, the new stem setup was inserted in the head tube. Once I got everything lined up the way I wanted it, I cranked down the bolt and welded the bar to the stem. No bolts, no clamps, no mess;)

Re: The Horny Horner Ok...so I've got my new homemade curvy handlestick, an old chromoly mtb stem and a piece from the stem that the bike came with. You can see all of the bits and pieces here, and how I cut the mtb stem, Then, using the threaded part of the original stem, I cut it so all I...

A few snaps of our weekly getaway...a nice little trek on the boardwalk to Taco Surf in Surfside. Home of the best blended Margaritas this side of the border. Our group ride is generally 6-12 people, and finding a table big enough sometimes is challenging but they always take care of us. Can't...

Re: The Horny Horner With the super cheap, well-used Brooks saddle in hand, I decided to weld it directly to the frame. This is the only way I could get it so low to the frame...I even had to chop off a good inch from the top of the seat tube.
