The paint work on the frame and sheet metal is nearly done. I don't care how careful you are, you always end up with a few chips in your new paint when you start assembly.

It's not quite as blue as it looks in that photo. It's more of a light gray with just a hint of blue.

It's been a slow process removing that yellow mess from each part.

I was on the fence about removing the kickstand hanger but having it gone it really cleans up that area and makes the bike look more like the earlier models. I also got a coat of primer on the whole thing.

If I'm not mistaken that should date it to 1959.

I got started taking the frame down to bare metal but the power went out so I quit for the night.
