Thank you all for the feedback and kind words! :D The first two weeks of this year's studies has gone by and...phew, my head!! Anyway, tonight I managed to compose myself and paint the gold stripes on both chainguards. I couldn't find where I'd put the paint since last time, so I went to...

    "Chain of Fools" (complete)

Re: "Chain of Fools" That's a cool bike and it looks great! 8) I've been curious about this kind of bikes (and a few other kinds, to be honest... )for a while. They look really comfortable.

    Whippet

Thanks Hoeha and DesignIt! :) I hope to start fiberglassing the Whippet and make some slow progress on it in a month or so.

Thank you guys! :D I finished painting all the parts last sunday, but I forgot to take photos of the painted frames. Then I thought that I'd stripe the fenders and chainguards and maybe even make the circuits for the lights this week. But since I'm back in town and back to my studies I've felt...

Thanks for the kind words everybody! :) sumnermclain: Cool! It would be nice to see your take on a lace paintjob! :D Somewhere in the Whippet thread I've posted links to my previous builds if you'd like to see the other bikes I've made. And I'll try to stay out of your head. Fireproof...

Thanks guys! :) kingfish254: The rake is in the neighborhood of 63 degrees. I like how the bike handles with a little more rake than a standard bike. It's less twitchy, rides smoother. Usually I lean the seat tube back about the same angle to get the pedals a little more forward. I think it's...

Nice frame, I like it already! :D

Yeah, fiberglass is great for fenders! And chainguards...and lights... :D It's really quite simple I'm sure you'll get the hang of it and make the kind of fenders (or other stuff) you like. There might be more photos and explanations of how I've made my fenders in my other build threads, maybe...

Reverse Clunker? (Mean Green Tailgating Rig)

Re: Reverse Clunker? Those tires really tied everything together! Looks great, and I love the idea of a reverse klunker! :)

Thanks! It's a relief to know it's in a good way! :D Sometimes all that's needed to make an ordinary bike look great is a coat of paint. ;) XC204: Come to think of it, I was inspired by the forks on your Street Skinny Typhoon when I decided how to make the forks for these bikes. :) That...

Thanks guys!! :D I hope they'll like the bikes! You know, when people order bikes from me I don't let them decide what the bikes will look like. I ask them if they want a cruiser or more of a racer, get the measurements I need to taylor the bike and then I start sketching from the ideas I get of...

Thank you! I lift my hat, or in this case the welding mask, and give my appreciation to all of you! This forum is filled with creative and talented people who inspire and give ideas and advice. Glad to be a part of all this! :) There's a volcano on Iceland, that caused delays and cancelled...

Thanks for the kind words guys, it's good to hear you like them! :D Volcanic activity...why would a minor thing like that prevent you from building a bike?! On a serious note, I hope it didn't cause too much devastation. The gig went well thanks, I had a great time! Done some more...

    Mr & Mrs

Thanks guys!! :D Haha, you have my word!! Long time since you posted any progress pics of your build-off-bike...don't tell me you've picked up golf!!!??? Anyway, I look forward too seeing more of that build! I've been terribly bad at keeping up with all the cool builds here...

Thanks, some of them turn out nice! :D That was one of the easier welds. Both tubes was the same thickness and it was just a matter of going around them in a straight line. The trickiest parts to weld, for me at least, are those where the tubes that are to be welded together are not...

CapnUNITarian: I think you might very well know much more about welding than I do then! I feel like I'm in the initial learning stages when it comes to welding and working with metal. I googled Steel City Choppers and found a video on youtube, they sure build mighty fine looking choppers!! :)...
