    Two of Our Engagement Photos

We recently had our engagement photos done, with a couple of our bikes as well. We did some riding shots, but they haven't been released, but here are two I have. I rebuilt the purple bike for Leigh-Anne for Christmas two years ago. It's a '54 Roadmaster, mine is an original paint '48 Hawthorne...

    '53 Schwinn Meteor

Picked up this beast off HotRodRob's dad a while ago. Did a few minor things to it and gave it to my dad. He's always wanted an old ballooner and he's the one who taught me how to turn a wrench, change a tire . . . It was the least I could do. He loves this thing, and so do the people in town...

    Crashed Comet

There will be soon. It's been a tough couple weeks. We had to say 'goodbye' to our beloved rescued Dogo, also my helper in the garage :( It's hard to go out there without my four-legged friend.

    Crashed Comet

All the springer parts are pre-war. I have 3 sets of the tubular bottoms and three fork tops. I want to bend the truss rod guides up so the fork will rake out at the bottom. I need more heat. These old heavy cast forks are tough as nails! I am constantly changing this thing as I go, maybe an LED...

    Crashed Comet

At least you guys see it that way, the better half doesn't quite get it. I took a couple days off to finish a rat rod bike for my bro. His Arashi and Jeep mountain bikes both bit it. Hmmmm, both made in Chickity China, shocking. I will get pics of his beast soon. Picked up a propane torch today...

    Crashed Comet

Started to tinker with a couple pre-war Shockmaster springers. I am thinking that the one with the headlight mount is going to be the choice. I need to do some bending and tweaking to get the forks to rake out the way I want, should be interesting. I also put a light together with a Home Depot...

    Crashed Comet

I am going to muck around with springer options. A raked pre-war Shockmaster would be fun to do, minus the top truss rods. I also have a bare metal '50s Monark fork that could be bent a bit more as well.

    Crashed Comet

'41. I did some paint stripping and serious sanding in 33 degree temps, which is nuts for May up here. I sanded the front Roamer fender and a cut CWC peaked fender. Monkeyed around with some Fat Franks and added drums keys for chain tensioners. Dug out a crusty old Troxel seat and some crusty...

    Crashed Comet

Dug out a Comet chain guard. Now time to strip some paint! I am digging a bare metal and crusty paint look.

A couple pics of my canvas. Late '30s CWC straight down tube goodness!

    Crashed Comet

I got out the paint stripper gel and some sand paper for that horrible tank paint scheme. Here's what I came up with. Dug out a crusty Shockmaster fork for a possible piece. I may use a couple. I like the pre-war tubular legged ones better. I also dug out some crusty Rollfast Roamer...

    Crashed Comet

Lol Robert. There has been progress made, pics soon. I just spent a few days camping and fishing in Algonquin Park up here. Now time to get back to work on this!

    Crashed Comet

The colours are annoying and will be gone soon! CWC build for sure.

Re: Sunday's Find - 50's english? I had a '53 Raleigh like that with the camel back frame. They were made in Canada with the Raleigh name on them.

    1949 CCM Twin Bar Ballooner

I recently picked up this 1949 CCM Twin Bar Ballooner from feebay. Luckily the seller was in an area that scared people away so I snagged it for the price of a good wheelset. These are a pain in the butt to find tires for! Luckily I had some old ones around. The truss rods are wider on this...

    1950 CCM Ballooner

The green one's seat is bare metal and not as uncomfortable as one would think. I am going to leave it that way for now, kind of adds character, lol.
