Cross Border Pickin for a 1946 Western Flyer

Thanks Rob, I caved and had to give the paint a little love. Turtle wax and Meguiars #1 . . . repeat. You had your getaway chance when I went to the washroom,

Cross Border Pickin for a 1946 Western Flyer

This is the first bike I have found with a Morrow hub. Even if you pedal a quarter turn, the back wheel spins for almost a minute, smooth and quiet too. Hopefully I will get it ready for a test ride today. I found the date code for Morrow online and mine is a P2 ('46 February). Are the parts...

    Some Do Dads

Yeah the fact that Tony has survived 21 years is amazing. I wish I still had Toucan Sam and Cornelius to keep him company. Tony goes for a ride every now and again.

    Some Do Dads

Found some cool accessories lately. First off is a BEVIN black out double ringer bell. Sounds like an old telephone. Next is a nice pair of soft 26 inch Uniroyal Chains. Next is an old Norco Whirl Away bird for your spokes. Last is a 1990 Tony the Tiger Kellog's reflector. I...

Cross Border Pickin for a 1946 Western Flyer

The original paint is almost all there. I'm loving the scallops on this thing with the orange outlines. Here are some pics of the bike as I got it. Dug out a matching and better looking seat as well as polished the paint up a little. Not too much as I want some of the patina...

hawthorn springer and 70s style chopper bike

Those springers are awesome. They require some yanking and a bad word or two to get the wheel on. Here's a pic of mine. If ya need a better one I can get one for ya. The axle floats in the arms for the spring and the tabs go on the axle and on the front of the dropout and provide stability...

Kingfish254's Finds - Over Ten Years of Kingfish Scores!!

Re: Kingfish254's Finds - 9/30 1941 Huffman Dayton Definitely a Snyder fork. They ride super smooth and are not too common. Here's my '48 Hawthorne with the same fork: Nice find! Cheers, Jordan

    Columbia Apache and Raleigh non-folder

The Raleigh is the forerunner to the 20 (Folder). They were called SW II (small wheel). I had a '66 with grip shift, drum brakes, dyno lights and extending rack. I looked like Donkey Kong from Mario Kart riding it though.

    Fat Flyte ( It's A Rider!)

Re: Fat Flyte ( Finally Painted) I love this bike Rob. Even when I saw it all crusty and sidelined it was awesome. Can't wait to do some riding with ya on it! I believe an adult beverage or two will be had when it's ready, and it's my turn to supply :D .
