I have to finish this 20" chopper I started long ago out of exhaust tubing and an old swing set. Have to move the bottom bracket out more now.. my son is about a foot and a half taller than back then. Then it's back on my 69 Mustang... gotta get it on the road. -Stephen

    Build Off #2 Index

I am not sure if someone was already going to do this but personally I can't picture all 40 of the bikes to try and vote by looking at the threads. In that note I created an Index of the Entries to review. If this thread needs to move please do so Steve. Rat Rod Bike Build Off #2 Index of...

Stingray Classic at Walmart for $88! Not the new style!

I picked up a fat tire Stingray from Wally world some time ago for $20. The 'bike builder' knew I liked them and said he had one returned he had to get rid of. He only wanted cash though... :D So I imagine the $20 never made to the register.

    Opinion on a welded frame...

Any frame can be welded back together. If it's not crunched up it would be worth having to me. -Stephen

Late entry, and I can't think of a good name!

Good idea on the brass.. it does look much better. Very nice fork mount as well. How did you form/curve the aluminum?? The machine turning looks very sharp as well. Should be a sweet 20 incher for sure. I don't guess a 20x3 would fit in the chain and seat stays? That would look wild. -Stephen

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

Thanks for the comments all! It morphed through different visions but is pretty close to how I generally thought it would look. Actually it is pretty comfortable to ride. I do move the seat up a few inches when riding though... thus the adjustable seat clamp. With the gears you can make the...

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

My goal on this build was to take something "new" and make it look "old" which I believe I have accomplished. Not sure how much or a Rat Rod bike it ended up being but it seems to have some attitude. More Pics Here Finished thread here...
