Hehe... sounds cool. You should start a thread and post some pics. That is what is cool about this site is the mix and match and try something different attitude. -Stephen

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

Ha! I knew you'd say something like that. I wanted to build a working speedway style leading link fork but couldn't find anything to use for the bands. I didn't have a matching set of small shocks to use instead either so I compromised with what I had available. I think it could be done...

    Some of my pinstriping

Wow.. that art has always amazed me. The symmetry required has always kept in awe. Great work! -Stephen

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

Update 11/4/2007 After messing around with various options I finally ended up with a home made springer front for this thing. Used some 3/8 bar, some plate and the original rear shock. Likely won't spring much but give the bike a better attitude to me. Gotta blow it apart and start prep and...

Anybody have $100k I could borrow?

Yup.. that's it. It was a pretty good turnout. 100+ races plus extra Ford runs. Ended a little rough with a red Fox Stang doing a hard wall check but such is racing I guess. -Stephen

Anybody have $100k I could borrow?

Hey Rat Rod, You would have loved the Buick vs Ford weekend at the drag strip here in OK recently. More black Buicks (Grand Nats, GNX's, clones and more) than you can almost imagine in one place and they were fast. Not fast enough for the Fords :D but fast. Here's some pics from a local...

I want to build a chopper

Not sure if it's worth a review but this was a very simple build that has worked out well and is fun to ride. I did basically what spyder said, cut the bottom bracket off the seat post and rear triangle, cut the top tube at the head tube, flipped things around and filled in the top tube with...

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

Yeah I understand... I am still undecided. It's an easy swap (pretty much, it's a 1 1/8" head tube but the big fork is a 1") so no telling what I'll end up with. Think I'll paint the old one anyhow just in case. -Stephen

    Protowrxs "MB Racer" Done 11/24/2007

Update 10/20/2007 Well as normal the plan is morphing as time moves along. Just an artsy shot as the sun was going down... I guess I've given up on the original fork idea. I picked these up from my local bike shop. They had been in there a long time just hanging around. I also picked up...

    Marks bike

I need to show my wife that picture!!! Maybe she'll understand she is actually 'lucky' that I only have about ten bikes at the moment. (But then there is the 69 Mustang, Go cart, three motorcycles... ) hmm... Anyhow, yeah, that would make it hard to get much done. Looking cool so far...

    59' schwinn dumpster find

Nice find and Congrates!! Looks very similar to the '61 I pulled from the bike salvage yard a couple weeks ago. I aired up the tires and took off riding. Albeit in third gear and without brakes but it worked. -Stephen

    My "NEXT" purchase

Wow.. interesting story. Looks like a fund bike. BTW I have one of those seats on one of my choppers and it's turning brown having been stored INSIDE. It is pretty comfortable though. -Stephen

    rollin on 3

Looking good. Makes me want to find a trike to play with sometime. You may be able to use some OCC Stingray triples to get a little bit of rake to the front?? -Stephen
