Haha yeah, it seems like everything on these Electras need to be "broken in" going from the squeaky sounds of the seat to the coaster brakes. Yeah...the sound it makes is kind of hard to describe, but a hoarse like whiny, dragging sound I guess describes it too. Though I don't use the breaks...

My Vince I took off all the reflectors, put on bullet tail lights, a headlight and matching bullet valve caps. :mrgreen:

I tried both oil and silicon spray on separate occasions...to no avail. I think it got worse some how... :x I may just drop the whole seat into a vat of lubricant haha...it drives me nuts! (no pun intended)

Step one is complete...I got them mounted onto the bike. Now, to get them functional. :)

The diameter of the housing is 2-1/8" at the front (it gets narrower towards the back because of the bullet shape) I'm going to look for one of those braces at a specialty cabinetry store because I just realized I've used many similar parts when building things from Ikea and the chrome plating...

Okay, got the lights today! They are bigger than I thought actually...which is not bad at all for room to work in there. The body is all metal too which is good for the build durability, but might be hard to drill if I need to. I opened it up so you guys can see what I'm working with here...

Okay guys, I'm going to buy a pair of the wired bullet lights from amazon and I'll take some pics when they get here and ask you guys what to do because I'm kind of clueless. Is that cool?

How does it turn on/off? Did you make a hole in the light housing so the button/switch on the reading light pokes out of it?

^ Yeah...I sprayed some dry silicone onto the all the metal under the seat...didn't really work. Perhaps I should have a sound system installed onto the bike haha.
