    What model Schwinn is this?

The plan was to do the "Schwinn" claws and the circular decals. I also want to put a decal on the chainguard, but don't think that the "Deluxe Hornet" is correct. Isn't this bike close to a Phantom (less the springer front fork)? However, I've googled images of the Hornet version and the...

Anyone going to Tour De Fat in San Fran.

Sounds interesting.... Where in GG park is it? What's the bike parade and the performances? I usually participate in the Willow Glen Founder's Day parade with my 37 Chrysler and it's on the same day. Not sure which one to attend.

    What model Schwinn is this?

The serial number is on the bottom of the crankcase. I bought these decals and want to know if they're even semi-correct. I know that it's not a Deluxe Hornet. I just bought them because it was cheaper to get the set than buying the decals piece by piece.

    What model Schwinn is this?

I know that this appears to be a repro with a possibility of some original parts on it. I'd like to add some decals to the bike, but I need to know what kind of Schwinn does this bike represent, i.e. Phantom, Exelcior, etc. Thanks.

    Hawthorne Pre-War??

Picked this up at the Pomona Swap Meet a few weekends ago for $60. The front fork appears to be bent slightly, but the price is not bad for a complete original bike, less the skiptooth components. Looks like it's been covered with house paint. Plan is to get the fork straightened and put the...

    My First Elgin!

If you ever decide to get rid of the child seat accessory, I'll gladly take it off your hands. That is one cool bike!

    Can you say WOW!!

Just sold the ladder on CL for $50. It's out of my garage. The story is that she was renting a room to a guy that lost his house. She allowed him to bring all of his stuff over and when he moved out two years ago, he left it all behind. She kept asking him to come pick it up, and he always...

    A minor change

So far it is holding up well. He's a big guy at slightly over 200 lbs. I told him not to ride it like a BMX or MTB. There was, and still is, its fair share of adjustments needed. There's a fit issue with both fenders and both wheels aren't true, especially the rear wheel. However, it's a...

    Can you say WOW!!

Probably is worth a few hundred $$$. Not sure what I should do, though. I like the toolbox, but have no room for it. Nor do I have any vintage Snap On tools to put inside. I could use the extra $$$ by selling it, but later on I might kick my self in the arse for getting rid of it.

    Can you say WOW!!

My neighbor across the street was cleaning out her backyard. She was having a junk hauler come haul everything in the backyard. Luckily, I was able to save a few items. I got four toolboxes, a wagon, 14-28' extension ladder, miter saw and rear bed (disassembled) for a 73-76 Chevy stepside...

    A minor change

Changed out the handlebars and grips on my nephew's (in-law) stretched cruiser. Now, he has the coolest bike in the neighborhood and school. Before After The tall apes really make a huge difference in looks and handling.

    A few new finds

My neighbor across the street was cleaning out her backyard. I picked up this Huffy Monterey women's cruiser. I have a stripped men's frame of the exact same bike. Also picked up this Electra cruiser for $50. I'm not a fan of multi-speeds on cruisers, because I think that real cruisers only...

    california rolling - suggestions welcome

Since you'll be in SF and then traveling south, it's worth it to make two stops in San Jose (about 50 miles south of SF and is on your way to L.A. whether you take 101 south or out to I-5 south). The first stop would be at Faber's Cyclery, 702 S 1st St., San Jose, CA, (408) 294-1314. This is a...

    Just random stuff

Spent a few hours at the local bike junkyard. Found a matching set of stepdown??? rims (Only one pictured. Left the rear wheel there to have the hub rebuilt.) Too bad I couldn't find the matching set of pedals. Does any one know what bike these fenders are from and the approximate year...
