recently i shipped a chainring via usps. i trimmed down a flat chipboard box to keep postage coast minimal, then inserted the chainring and used carton sealing tape to close the 2 open edges. the chain ring came out of the box during shipping, i assume the teeth poked through the tape and it...

i talked w/ a guy at industrial coatings in kc ks yesterday, they are a powdercoater but they do media blasting too, he said he'd do bike frames to. just in case ya need a place, its 913 321 2116. i was referred to them by a local motorcycle shop.

are you sure it doesnt take 1" headset? it doesnt look new enough to take a 1 1/8", and ive never seen a 26" frame that used a mini, but i could be wrong.

i have roof rack and i hate it! it's hard to get a heavy bike up there and strapped in by myself, it doesnt hold like i'd like it to, and it dont fit all sized of bikes. im converting a seadoo trialer to carry bikes and a large tool box, thats the way to go!
