    OG. Hawthorne

Here is one of my regular riders. The paint color is original and absolutely pops in the sun. 8) Its mostly original, has the original indian head whitewall tires, yes I ride on them. This is a simple bike but is one of my favorites to ride and gets alot of attention because of is...

If you will look under my other bike Ratphoon, also in this gallery and their is a full discussion on how to bend them. As for the blade length and tires, it is the standard length 26" fork with 26x2.125 tires.

Thanks for all the comments guys. This bike mostly sits around and looks pretty because you cant ride it like a rat. Yall know what I mean?

Find an old rusty chrome springer for the front forks, its going to be a rat an it?

Here is one of the cleanest bikes that I have. 8) It is a later model Typhoon in very good shape, with a clean speedo and 2 speed kick back rear hub. Everything is original to the bike exept the seat. This bike even rides on the original westwind tires and tubes. :D

Way cool bike as well! I see you also thought fenders would be to much, and love the mower you have on back!

Here was my first attempt at a total restoration. It started out as a badly weatherd Western Flyer repop, it was sandblasted down to the metal to remove the rust and covered in green. Then cleaned and painted some S2 rims wrapped in a slick for the front and knobby on the back. Then came...

What can you make with bike parts?

I guess you could call it a gearhead? Looks cool!

    bobber fender

Im interested to see how you mount the seat, been thinking of doing that to one of mine.

I only bent the blades of the forks. The fork is not all the way on in the picture and that is why you see a gap. The bearing retainer is a little small on the forks and needs to be pushed down futher. If you try to bend at the fork tube it will BREAK!!! Don't ask how I know. :x

Here is another lowrider that I made for the lady. This bike was modified the same way that the Ratphoon was, a big pipe. My wife liked that bike so much I created this one for her. The patina on this bike is great and look awsome sitting beside Ratphoon! Notice use of the pedal as the...

Fatt 24's will fit nicely into that frame!

    Fat Western

I have found that they will fit all the Cleveland Welding bikes made in the 50's that carry this frame style, Hawthorne, Trail Blazer, Western Flyer, and Road Masters. Some of the front forks may not be wide enough, but that is easily changed. As far as price, I bought a bike just for the rims...

Thanks for all the coments, just glad to know that my bikes fit in and are well liked. I will be posting more this weekend. Thanks again! :D

    Ratphoon

I used no heat just dont bend it all in one spot, heat kills natural patina. Natural patina there is nothing better. Cant make any promisses but mine hasnt broke and i am at 205 pounds.

    Ratphoon

Here is a pic of another set of forks I "massaged". I done these a little different, started close to the steertube and bent alittle, then moved out a little with the pipe and bent more, and continued doing this untill at the end of the fork to get a natural bend along the length of the forks. I...

With the fork mod its actually low enough to use the pedal as a kickstand. Had to also remove the kickstand and use the same "massage" method on it as well so that it could be used again. Yes you can send sparks when turning. :D
