2020 Schwinn Stingray 125th frame (only) wwith Vintage/Repop parts and 26" Springer "Right Tools For The Job"

Next, I got after the crank/cog swap. This was not a direct swap. With the exception of the bearings and races, none of the hardware can be cross-pollinated. I used the '20 crank bearing races only, everything else is '75 (another WIN!) I removed the '20 cranks/lucky 7 cog and installed the '75...

2020 Schwinn Stingray 125th frame (only) wwith Vintage/Repop parts and 26" Springer "Right Tools For The Job"

Thanks, those are the stock 2020 forks (in the 1st pic).

2020 Schwinn Stingray 125th frame (only) wwith Vintage/Repop parts and 26" Springer "Right Tools For The Job"

I removed the 2020 fork and installed the 1976 26" Schwinn cruiser forks (w/shortended neck) and surprisingly the '20 head set bolted right up to the '76 fork. I was shocked actually, Hellll Yeah!!!

2020 Schwinn Stingray 125th frame (only) wwith Vintage/Repop parts and 26" Springer "Right Tools For The Job"

This build (my first one documented here) started off with my '68 Stingray, until I discovered it was a Jr, so that one will be on the back burner for the time being. So, I went on the hunt for a 2020 125th frame to use all the parts that I've gathered thus far to build the bike I've been seeing...

    Paint advice

While on the topic of paint, I was Googling some information about clear coating over water slide decals and I found this gem. You cant make this stuff up. "I had the bike painted real nice. I decided to try and bake the paint in my car to dry. I thought it had dried enough already, but wanted...

BO15 Dumpster Diamond (Formerly "First Ever Build Off with a Postwar Hawthorne")

Pretty cool use of the vaportite light, cast guard. Many wont know what it is, but I've been in the lighting industry for 30+ years haha.

    The Year of the rat

I bought this one on ebay a few years ago for my '41 Chevy p-cup radiator shroud and promptly decided not to use it. I finally took apart a bike show trophy that I won with one of my Harleys and used it as a base. I still may use it for a bike build some day, though. I really dig it.

Huffy Dragster XL - 26” Muscle Bike build

(I just edited my original comment) What I was getting at is, if the strut was rotated more vertical you're left with a shorter bobbed fender, but I think you knew what I was trying to convey, haha. On a side note, I'm really liking this forum and the people here. I've popped in many times over...

Huffy Dragster XL - 26” Muscle Bike build

I'm using Photoscape. Someone else told me about Gimp, I'll have to give it a look.

Who is this noob, Johnny Wolf? And what else does he create in addition to Bicycles (warning lots of big pix ahead)

Thank you sir, hope to be getting my build up here soon, too. Waiting on some parts before I post it up.

Huffy Dragster XL - 26” Muscle Bike build

Its too bad that fender is dimpled for frame clearance. If you could rotate it forward a bit till the struts are vertical (***edit** thus being left with a more bobbed fender) it will have more of the muscle bike appearance. Please don't judge, my old Photoshop does not work with Win10. I'm...

    BO15 Ratcumbent

Sweet! My Rat Fink gumball machine that I refurbished and customized would look good next to it.

...Hot Rods, and Motorcycles? Well, I also make table Lamps, refurbish/customize candy/gum machines and occasionally make wooden flags. I rarely have idol hands, helps keep the AADHD and OCD at bay..haha. Anyway let me know your thoughts, as I really don't share this stuff with many outsiders...

    Show us them cars!

Despite what people think (or see on tv and the interwebs), its not. haha.

    Anybody else have a motorcycle?

I have two. The 95 sportster has been through 3 major changes since 2007 (1st pic is the day I got it) but this is how it sits now. I'm going to sell it and my '03 Street glide clone, soon. It has a ton of late model parts on it and was a 100% stock Peace Officer Electrglide when I got it from...
