made this detatchable one sided rack mainly to hold a bag, but i think it will be sturdy enough for a light load edit: forgot since i made the rack. the little u shaped piece under the front rack mount lets me put a small bike bag there without it falling back into the tirre or spokes

normal light, mounted a bit different though i like how bike headlights look when they sit real low, but i figured it'd get shook to bits on a springer. so i made a hanger that comes off the pivot bolt. it still moves a little, but not as much as if i had put it on the wheel axle or fork leg.

i've done the first, and think it was acurate enough for government work. if it's a bike you've been experimenting with, and/or adding accessories to, you may not want to know, though.

i'm liking the idea but thinking the same would happen around here. after a few minutes thought i'm thinking weld it into a position and maybe weld a spike on too, to drive into the ground. they may still take it, but they'd have to work for it, and then not be able to use it once they pulled it up.
