that's kinda true. my golden days was around the muscle bike era and besides krates, most of the other's were in the department stores. sears, pennys, western auto (not really a dept. store, but not a bike shop either) etc. they had the bikes i wanted.

i just started fooling with the idea of a school colors bike. it won't have a tank (unless some idea pops up later), but i'm working on a nice big chainguard that will have enough room for a good sized logo, school name or whatever

still working on it, but i think i'm past the "will it work?" stage for my school bike. a keychain fob i ground the chain hook off of. the inner section spins. don't know how much wind it would take to make it spin on the bike, but i made room for it to spin if it will. i guess not too hard...

i wish more rides like that happened here. we just have the two mayors rides on memorial and labor day, and then it's still mostly road and mountain bikes. like seeing the hutch fairing bike too. i have one without the fairing. can't find it most times, and can't afford it when one pops up.

not too much. nearly all the local shops are fairly new, so there may be one old bike in a corner or something. the only shop that's been around a good while is across the river and i've only been there once on a quick stop, so i can't remember anything special.

i don't really keep any kind of record, part because almost immediately i'm digging through my parts pile, so it's kind of hard to know what value to put on a part i have already. i've also never been a seller at this point, so i haven't worried about trying to figure weather i'm making any...
