Dyno Bike pics

here is my 1996 Dyno Coaster Trouble T customized by Jeff Solak in 1996. this was one of his early ones. this one is a 1998/99 roadster. tank is molded into frame. fenders came out of Huntington Beach in mid 2000s and last is my 2005 Kustom Kruiser Slick Daddy [/IMG]

    96 Dyno Coaster find.

bought this off craig's list today. didn't know what it was other then a cool looking stretch. guy didn't know or care what he had. said it was won in a raffle a decade ago and has sat since. this bike's tires rotted off. but seat was still very nice. i would be shocked if this bike was ever...

    Mooneyes

some advice on that bike is find a set of dyno motoglide bars, or a copy of them for it. looks good with them on there and you will never get your handlebars caught on your knee during a turn. i had 4 different dyno glides(same frame as yours) with those moon bars. every one of them gave me a...

    Mooneyes

at this point they haven't made a dyno in nearly 16 years. i have collected dynos for many years and tell you they only get harder and more expensive to find.

finding a good replacement set of pedals is hard. either you buy a nice girls dyno and rob the parts or know a dyno hoarder.

    Mooneyes

dyno didn't keep records on their bikes. dyno was sold twice, and no records exist any more. they only stamped a year code in the ones made by GT. after GT was bought out in 97 they went with different manufacturers and after 1997 you wont ever really know what year it is. the mooneyes was from...

    Mooneyes

you don't need to replace the pedals. you can just remove the dyno stamped cages. there are pedals (cheap) that you can switch out with. i had a set of nice chrome cages but scuffed plastic blocks. bought a 9/16 pedal set and used my cages on them. looked like nos 9/16 dyno pedals.

Removing paint painted on top of factory paint?

goof off graffiti remover is your best friend for spray paint removal. a lot of paint removers will dull the gloss of the original paint. just don't leave it on to long. and any thing you use to scrub can really scuff the paint. i use the graffiti remover and a sponge or rags. easy off oven...

    Need some guidance.

some basic answers for your build. there are 3 standard sizes for the bottom bracket (crank bearings) american, euro, and spanish. yours should be american. unless you have a wide crank housing, you should be able to use almost any 1 piece or bmx 3 piece cranks. measure how wide the area were...

Don't get Pissed ..I need to cut a dyno frame . Help !!

the only dyno cruisers that were made in the usa were the prototypes. but that doesn't make yours any less cool. i would think some one on here would trade you a nice frame that you need for that dyno frame. they are getting harder and more expensive to replace.

Motorcycle Grips on regular 7/8" bars

the grips should work. when i got grips for my yamaha i tried the left side grip on my bike to see how it looked and fit fine. i also converted a dirt bike to a thumb throttle and used bmx grips on it. as long as the O.D. is 7/8 of the grips they will fit.

    Ape hangers on Electra Townie

here is an easy quick fix for these kinds of problems with apes. cut an aluminum strip from a soda can. wrap the bars. clamp down. i have done that with every pair of apes and several pairs of bmx bars.

Micargi stretch bike head tube problems

i had nothing but problems with the same bike. had to make shims for the seat post and the head tube was to long to fit most forks.

    Favorite Bike Maker?

i have had a lot of bikes in the 30 years i have been riding. had pre-war and modern bikes. for me my fav is the dyno. i raced bmx in the 90s and always rode a gt then in the late 90s when i found out dyno made cruisers i was hooked.

    beach cruiser looptail

going off of the looks of it, i would say 1990s. more mountain bike then bmx. those cantilever brakes look early to mid 90s. most likely a mountain bike manufacturer making a hybrid cruiser. notice it was never meant to have fenders, probably because it came with knobby tires.

    what is this schwinn worth?

i know it is in ruff shape and missing original parts but kind of hard to pin point a value when the prices are all over the place. it is a november 1963 schwinn stingray deluxe. it is my brother's bike and money is very tight and this bike is just sitting. its not for sale right now but if it...

anyone have any info on doing a trike conversion kit?

i have built a couple of trikes over the years and i have always just bought a nice used trike and took the rear end off and put it on what ever frame i'm using. any trike that does not have a welded on rear end will bolt right up to yours. i found doing it that way saves me money. if you can...

    Dyno Bike History?

i did not see from any of those pics of a bike like yours. can you post the pic you dated your bike from? as for value it all depends on your area and how many there around you. were i live in so-cal there are a lot. i saw 2 purple dynos just like yours. one did not have fenders and one did. the...
