thanks guys. i also have a nirve street king and just gave a kustom kruiser kobra 5 to my buddys dad. believe it or not, the most expensive bike that i have bought in the past 7 years was a mongoose beast. all but one of those bike that i took pics of were $100 or less. i got that orange slick...

here are a few of my bikes from over the past couple years

here are the ones i took pics of. at one point my garage was so full of bikes that i got a notice from the leasing office. had to get rid most of them. then i got a notice for the bondo and paint smell, so i had to close shop. sold a few to my brother so they stayed in the family. i don't...

    post trike pictures

hear are my brothers. nirve deviant chopper and kustom kruiser stretch. the nirve is a 6 speed and the kk is a 3 speed. on the kk i cut the fork tubes down over 2 inches, milled an nos dyno stem to sit flush on the triple clamp. i put an euro adapter with SE 175mm cranks on it as well.

any one ever try this bare metal trick?

so i was talking to my powder coat guy about doing some chrome powder coat. he told not to go that rout with him. the chrome just does not look very good. i thought it was cool that he was not trying to sell me some thing i wouldn't like. it turns out he restores old schwinns so we talked for a...

    Bike honey holes

i found a few honey holes in my day. i found a big pile of early 80's bmx parts. with 2 24 inch murry bmx bikes. it was at a house that burned down. the locale tweekers had a field day with that place. but i guess no one ever looked behind the back fence. because all those bmx parts sat there...

    Does this look legit?

i would say no more then $50. most of the bikes with motors i've seen had holes drilled in the frames. so i wouldn't buy it for the frame. also for about $20 to $40 bucks more you can get a new motor kit. because you never know how hard and how long that motor was ran. and missing the entire...

dyno rebuild (now with fiberglass tank)

thanks for the kind words. man its been almost a year sense i started rebuilding it. it's more or less just in the mock up stage. the tank is just sitting on the frame. the tank came with no wardwear and does not fit right. so i guess sense i'm going to cut the tank and mold it in the frame i'll...

dyno rebuild (now with fiberglass tank)

the fiberglass tank has to be cut down to fit. i think it was made from a knock off dyno roadster. it is funny how much time and money i put in this bike and you really can't tell. i added disc brakes and got all the stuff to hook up the nexus 3 speed. now it looks a lot like a stock slick daddy...

    Phat Stormtrooper

did you make that chain guard? if you did you should make a few more of those. there is like 2 companies making chain guards for stretched cruiser. i would rather have one of your chain guards then a dyno knock off. your bike is defiantly one of the baddest ever on this site.

dyno rebuild (now with fiberglass tank)

Re: dyno rebuild i ditched the springer front end. the front tire rubbed real bad when ever i would turn. i put in spacers longer bolts but nothing would stop the rubbing. so i went back to the triple clamp forks. i cut the the fork tubes down a little over 2 inches. that really changed the...

    Schwinn Spitfire rebuild

i see what you mean. but i really don;t think Schwinn would ever repeat a s/n. your s/n is less then a 1,000 from the starting aug 8th. 1954 s/n. the 56 would only be able to go to L97650 i would think. but maybe the operator of that site might be able to help out more.

    Schwinn Spitfire rebuild

your bike was made in on August 11th or 12th 1954. the sprocket looks og but i'm not real big on Schwinn. looks like they offered a few different sprockets for different models that year.
