Thanks metalchewy but I still dont know if the meds are all figured out as my legs still look like they're a litlle over stuffed.. I did a quicky tape job to create some darts. Shot on a coat of satin clear but it came out a bit rough in the 100+ temps this afternoon. Found a Murray seat post...

Nice looking Brat, though past experience with the stock bent springer on those bikes has me wondering about yours ??? The one on my Brat was an unsafe pile of junk, at higher speeds it would go into a bad wobble ...just uncontrollable . Mark

Took me a while to find this thread, at least on p5 it was easy to find ! Unfortunately I have been physically unable to work on this bike the past couple months as what started with some pain in my elbow turned into total body inflammation caused by a serious reaction to one of my blood...

My idea of vintage or antique differs from the norm or what some in the antique business consider as antique . To me a vintage bike falls between 1950-1982 and antique would be pre 1950 , I don't buy into the big box theory at all since big box stores have been around a long time selling bikes ...

Chips , its been my experience that the pins on skip chains are swedged so if I need to shorten one I grind the pins and if I need to lengthen it gets an extra master link ! You already have plenty of tips for cleaning and re lubing. Mark
