Thanks for the feedback. This, and your post above give me some great info. True about the adapter- I put one in an old Schwinn frame. It went in OK, but I can see where there could easily be problems. Too, once in, it's nearly impossible to remove without damaging the aluminum. I may look into...

I have an 8-speed Nexus with coaster brake on my daily rider. Fantastic. I 'm putting a 7-speed nexus on a build I'm doing for my wife, and I'm putting another 8-speed Nexus on my Dyno Roadster as soon as I'm done with the lady's ride. Love them hubs! Greatest thing since pneumatic tires. JWM
