This bike is a rider, spent a couple hours and 15 miles last weekend riding around. Just got the headlight working- ride it to the store occasionally. It's a 1964 Typhoon with some repro parts on it. I'd like to repaint it, maybe one of these days- I like this bike. :cool:

I'm an old fart that rode a bike like this in the 60's. Seems like they were all metallic red, like the old Honda color. I'm thinking about ripping this apart again to apply a Kandy apple red paint job. :cool:

The B-26 was hard to land. Some called it the Widowmaker. It was a high performance aircraft. But it turned out to be the best medium bomber of the war. More crews came back alive than any other WWII bomber. It was beautiful, too.

They still make these WWII items in the Philippines. Our old tooling maybe. The Rock Island .45 is supposed to be a damn good 1911a.

A small primer on road bikes!! :) So there were/are many grades of road bikes, The hierarchy is based on frame material and component quality. Basically, with steel (vintage) road bikes, the lighter, the better. Frame tubing is a good indicator of goodness. We're talkin' Reynolds 531, Columbus...

This bike may be worth a complete restoration. This is the coolest crankset I've ever seen!

This bike has a French frame, American bar tape, an Italian front wheel, a Japanese rear wheel, brakes and derailleurs, and a Japanese replacement chrome fork. It's actually a 14 speed because it has a Chinese Sunrace 7-speed freewheel. Plus, it has German fenders and a chain made in Portugal...
