It's I think, powder coated, and seems OK. The mounting hardware it comes with is heavy and ugly. It's a Chinese reproduction of the old Schwinn "Phantom" rear rack, and fits OK on my old 1964 middleweight Schwinn. I wanted it because it can be a grocery getter, but it's not too bad looking, but...

I've spent a few weekends truing wheels, straightening/aligning the fork and dropouts, replacing/lubing the bearings, and generally making this bike a rider. Thanks to member outsider13 for selling me a really cherry Bendix RB-2 hub/brake! This bike rolls nice! Many happy miles to come!

The reality of the situation is that not everybody can bring a 50+ year old bike, that was previously owned by a kid :D, back to rideable life. So they make these quasi-vintage bikes like that Felt. I love my old Schwinn, but honestly it was a lot of work to make it a rider. I can't imagine...

Ya, it's bent. But it can be straightened using the Sheldon Brown 2X4 method.
