Taking off the chainguard made the bike look better, so. :cool:. Pinstripes from Pepboys, cost $3.99. :crazy:. Rode this bike a few miles, holy crap, I need to re-learn the the old coaster brake habits of my youth. :)
Here's what I've done so far. The fenders are both made from the formerly rusty and bent rear fender. I was going for a bobber motorcycle look. Needs a springer fork maybe. The pinstripe on the chainguard was just a small experimental leftover from striping a car.

Are the three caged bearings in this picture a standard size that a bike shop may have? Does anybody make a new 3 lug sprocket (BB-147)? Thanks in advance!

Picked up this old Schwinn a week ago for cheap off Craigslist, and have since become kind of obsessed with making it a rideable and cool looking bike. It's a 1964 Typhoon from the serial number. This is the "before" picture, still working on the "after". I found a "Sweetheart" chainwheel to...
