I want to soak a Dyno chainring in white vinegar to remove some rust. It's the solid, grooved chainring with black paint around the periphery. Will the vinegar affect the paint in a negative way? Do you have any suggestions for a better method that doesn't include harsh chemicals? Thanks in advance!

I, too, am saddened by the loss of Dyno. The new KK bikes are nothing like the old stylish cruisers Dyno made. However, I have found that modern Electra cruisers are as comfortable and fun to ride as Dyno cruisers.

$400? I wouldn't ride that if it was given to me for free.

I also prefer shiny, new-looking bikes if they're less than 15 years old. If they're older, then I can appreciate the ratrod look with an extra helping of patina.

Here's my Columbia RX-5 repop. These are some of the better repops because they were made using the original dyes that created the 50s version. I changed the headlight to the correct one, and plan on adding a Bendix 2-speed kickback very soon.

My brother has long legs and riding my Felt makes his knees sore even when he raises the seat. However, he rode my Electra with pedal forward tech the other day and said it's much more comfortable. I love riding my Felt Troy Lee Spray, but I added ape hangers. I'm six feet tall.

The Slater is one of my fav Felt cruisers. Why did you extend the fork bracket like that? To rake the front wheel? Does it affect the springer action at all? Just curious.

Here's my first build. I started with a Torker Bermuda frame/chainguard and added vintage Springmaster and headlight and old huffy cranks and rims as well as new Nirve handlebars, Felt pedals, Duro tires, Custom Cruiser saddle and Electra grips. It also has used pinstriped fenders.
