The next build off? Plans for the future

To both the timing and the short time spans I say:

My parts are all here! I'll be doing a similar bottom bracket pivot like I did on my last winter build the Elgin Osprey except this time I'll be using a threaded bottom bracket shell. It's so much easier! It turns out bottom bracket shells are 38.1 mm which is exactly 1 1/2 inches. I got some...

Yeah that happens to me all the time too. When I was making L' Angelo I didn't realize that it wasn't going to be able to turn the way I had designed it. 🤣 Obviously this is not all about pure function but I think it's going to work. I am expecting to see some serious brake Dive if I put a...

I had no plans to enter the WBO this year but this doodle from last year was tickling my brain these past few days. i decided to do a larger scale drawing and I'm pretty excited about it. It draws on my "Elgin Osprey" build from last winter and "L'Angleo" from BO 12. Its a full suspension...

Yep, G-10 AKA Garolite. Basically fiberglass. I looked around for the best price and believe it or not Mcmaster-carr was better than everyone.

    Voting Booths are re-OPEN!

Thanks for to everyone who helps with creating this venue. I had a great time building my bike! It feels good to get it out of my head and into reality. I'll see you guys in the summer build off hopefully.

That's cool that's actually the downhill frame and I have the SLX version. The downhill frame doesn't have nearly as much space for batteries.

Great save! I love those scandinavian bikes, they don't get nearly the respect they deserve.

I resumed working on this bike which has been in boxes for over a year now. I figured I'd better finish it before the batteries go bad or something. I had to gently squeeze the down tube to get this to fit. Luckily you can't even tell it's just a little more round now, It was so close to fitting...

Thanks it came out pretty much exactly how I was picturing it. The fork looks a little chunky and I need to add a stabilizer loop to keep the front wheel fromJust flopping around side to side But the Spring reaction feels pretty good , it's nice and progressive.

So I was working late in the garage Just plugging away on the bike and I got to a point where I was pretty confident I could get it all assembled for tomorrow. .I had left my dog Shaggy in house since it was like 3゚in the garage and I was tired of watching him shiver. As soon as I got outside I...

It's supposed to shoot up to 20゚ today but still feels like negative 5 right now. I really thought by waiting till the end of the Winter it would be warmer but no such luck.

Not a ton of dramatic looking progress today but I'm laying the groundwork for the front and rear suspension and it's coming together well. I'm hoping that by tomorrow I have a rideable bike and then I can spend Tuesday accessorizing and photographing.
