Because I love using other bikes, this Schwinn donated its rear triangle last year. I thought it would be fun to take the chain pass thru idea and give it a head badge I’ll get some final weld pictures when I’m out grinding later. Have some wife to do stuff now. Added a small brace on this side...

Got the chain guard on, then started looking for a kickstand apparently I don’t own a decent one for a monark. I did dig one out that worked but it’s so worn out the bike goes deep gangster lean on it 😂 it needs a test ride or 6 but limited time today.

Had to go with the monark sprocket, Schwinn crank though. Also swapped the baskets for a rack. The back was looking a bit too busy. Not a huge update but it’s been harder than expected for me to keep finding grimy hardware. Handlebars are something I may not have a set to match the look.

I might try to save the old navy sticker. That and the missing top tube is what made me drag the frame out of a guys scrap pile.

Had to start tonight with a bit of clean up. My C2 is making a mess. Fresh grease! New brand so hopefully it doesn’t suck.the important part of the hub cleaned up nice. yeah the first one was just a bit to large to make the chain line work. also went down to a more modern wheel with an 18t sprocket for the same reason.

    UNLIMITED Pyle

Turns out the best tool for the job was an old 2x4 and a hammer. After the vice smash of course Not the prettiest solution but it allowed me to get it together enough to see if I could ride it. This was a no go, the bars were way short and the skinny front tire flopped over easy. I had my kid...

That’s one long chain, and it almost worked 😂tiny vice to do a bit of clearance worksmaller front sprocket set up to hug as tight to the bottom bracket as possible. That combination gave us a bit of clearance at the bottom. This wasn’t enough to clear the top. But the chain outside the seat stay...

Got some time tonight and did a mock up in my normal style. These never score many votes and I seem to always build them. It would mean I’d finally use Still unsure but I wanted to look at it anyway! Also decided I should atleast check out the monark parts on the monark. Sadly the front fender...
