I scored this yesterday! I believe that it's a 1980's Schwinn World Sport. (The serial numbers are 4107835 on the left drop-out, and G0284 on the right drop-out) The frame measures 27in/68.8cm from center of cranks to top of seat tube. Waaaaaay too tall for me, so I put on CL.

From the picture it looks like the idea is to have people climb over each others backs & stand on someones shoulders until you reach the prizes. I'd hate to be the person on the bottom. I've been to county fairs that had greased pole climbing contests. I never won anything, but it was a blast...
