Schwinn bikes ( post pics here )

You could use shorter crank arms. I think that's my best solution! Thank you, Scurry Murry. Nice Twin!

Best rim replacement for schwinn s7's?

I put some 26"x1.75" wheels on a 1964 Hollywood and the pedal would hit the ground if I took a tight turn. Any ideas on how to fix this without getting a new crank? I put on some 26"x2.125" Electra tires that were thicker, but now they won't fit with fenders. Am I just forever condemned to...

    S-7 Help

Here's the bike! It's been repainted and was my first bike I worked on. It was in rough shape when I got it. You can see the space between the tire and the fender. Thanks everyone for your help. Much appreciated.

New Guy from SoCal..and my Schwinns

Nice bikes! What size wheels are you using on those? I'm working on an old beat up 1964 Hollywood for my girlfriend with no wheels and I'm looking for a cheaper set to replace the S-7s (saving my money to fix my 1954 Corvette).

    S-7 Help

I've run into this same problem. I replaced the S-7s on a 1964 Hollywood and put on some brand new 26" x 1.75 wheels with 26" x 1.75 tires. It worked great until I turned and the pedal hit the ground. Would a larger tire fix this problem? What did you end up doing? Thanks in advance!

    California Schwinns!

Hello from Redwood City, CA (Climate best by government test!). I came across this form while on the hunt for parts to fix up some old Schwinns. Currently I have a 1970 Varsity and 1954 Corvette complete and I'm working on a 1964 Hollywood, another Varsity and a 1953 Schwinn that I think is a...
